Pansy

(Viola tricolor)

Viola tricolor is a wild flower known to exist in a stunning range of colors. While they are most commonly found in shades of purple and yellow, they can also grow in orange, blue and white, purple and white, and red variations. Pansies are also very wildlife friendly, and may attract some curious insects.

This drawing was created using Prismacolor colored pencils on toned paper. It was cropped using a fine blade, and placed on top of a circular canvas. The canvas is 16” in diameter, and painted with acrylic paint.
