Wasp Moth
(Euchromia folletii)
In nature, there are many species of moths that attempt to mimic the more threatening form of a wasp. Euchromia folletii is a type of wasp moth that has an incredible range of colors within its wings and its body. While this drawing may be quite large, the insect in reality only measures around 0.6 inches.
This drawing was created using Prismacolor colored pencils, black ink, and gel pen on top of a toned gray paper. The wingspan of the drawn insect is around 14 inches long.
