The Luna moth is debatably the most famous type of moth. There are many variations of this beautiful insect around the world, known as slighlty different species under the same famiy. These related species include Actias dubernardi, and Graellsia isabellae. Actias Luna, or the American moon moth, is a pale green color with white and black small markings in its wings. The wingspan of this moth is about 4.5-7 inches.

This drawing was created using Prismacolor colored pencils. This moth was the first to begin the beloved Moth Series, and it sparked my undying passion for intriguing insects. For this artwork, the toned tan paper was cropped according to the shape of the moth. The wingspan of this drawn insect is around 16 inches.
