Rosy Maple Moth

(Dryocampa rubicunda)

The Rosy Maple Moth is a relatively small moth from the family Saturniidae. It has a very vibrant pink body and wings, with equally vibrant yellow complimenting sections. The wingspan of this moth is around 1.5-2 inches.

This drawing was created using Prismacolor colored pencils, on a toned tan paper. The paper was cropped according to the shape of the moth, with a fine blade.
